We've had more than a few nights like this recently...
...where we sit on our back porch and watch the show.
Blue lightening.
Nature's fireworks.
We couldn't help ourselves...
We all ooooooo and aaahhhh.
Did you see that?
Nope, I missed it.
This night it was incredible. This night I got the bright idea to run and get my camera.
And by the time I got it all set up and figured out the right exposure...
I caught this...
Awesome!
...all the way across the sky.
And this!
My goodness, it was both so powerful and so beautiful.
Some times, the lightening would strike above the cloud cover. The sky turned a pure blue and back lit the clouds quite dramatically.
...that was hard to take a picture of - too hard,
That little blue patch in the bottom left is actually blue sky.
Clear blue sky waiting on the edge of the blue lightening clouds.
Storms like this roll in...
...then roll out.
Typical for the Front Range. Living here you become accustom to it, then you come to appreciate it, and finally you count on it.
My goodness...
...another big one.
Aaahhhh, the end... well, at least for now.
